Abstract

Business excellence has emerged as a strategic requirement among organizations that want to be sustainable in competitiveness by managing quality adaptively and transform their organizations. This paper creates a Dynamic Business Excellence Architecture (DBEA) system, which incorporates leadership, quality governance, and innovation capability, strategic alignment, and operational excellence in one assessment system. Quantitative research design was chosen based on a structured questionnaire that was distributed to 328 managerial professionals of manufacturing and service firms. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was used to validate the proposed framework. The measurement model was very reliable (Cronbachs Alpha = 0.931; Composite Reliability = 0.942; AVE = 0.716) and had a good fit of the model (CFI = 0.958; RMSEA = 0.047). The proposed Business Excellence Index (BEI) got a total of 84.3/100, the highest quality governance (β =0.41), and innovation ability (β =0.36) also been noticed as the strongest areas that contributed towards organizational excellence. Results are useful to managers to offer a viable architecture of performance improvement and strategy decision making at all times. The novelty of the study is that, it proposes an integrated, validated business excellence architecture that incorporates adaptive quality governance and strategic organizational transformation, in dynamic organizational settings.
